Job Description
We are currently seeking a research scientist who will beprimarily responsible for the design and testing of new gene editing technologyin mammalian/plant cells. You will join a fast-growing and highly collaborativeteam that combines significant protein R&D experience with pioneeringdiscoveries to create a new gene editing system development platform.

Responsibilities
? Identifycandidate proteins from existing databases
? Designsynthetic DNA and express candidate proteins in mammalian/plant cells
? Screencandidate proteins based on quantitative molecular criteria in various mammalian/plantcell types
? Collaboratewith others for research and development and oversee research partners
? Conductdetailed observations, analyze data and interpret experimental results
? Practicetechnical discretion in designing, executing, and interpreting experiments thatcontribute to project goals
? Preparestechnical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
? Search,create and develop new methods and technologies that contribute to projectobjectives
? Maintaina high level of expertise by familiarizing with scientific literature and newtechnologies

Preferred Qualifications (two or more in order ofpreference):
? Mammalian/plantsynthetic biology: DNA construct design for expression in mammal/plant cells
? Geneediting experience: quantitative analysis of editing efficiency and accuracyusing state-of-the-art technology such as Cas9 or other proteins
? Syntheticprotein design: altering protein structure by exchanging functional domains

Basic Qualifications
? Ph.D. inBiological Engineering, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field
? 0-3 yearsof relevant industrial or postdoc experience is preferred
? Strongself-motivation, independent thinking skills, strong attention to detail
? Requiredto demonstrate industry experience or academic achievement, such as high impactfactor journals or protein development related publications
? Excellentcommunication and presentation skills to convey technical information in aclear and thorough manner
? Willingto work with highly skilled, fast-paced and energetic teams
? Confident,execution-oriented, team-oriented, capable of thriving in an entrepreneurialenvironment
