Inpatient care is optional.Responsibilities1. Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic diseases and injuries within the scope of Family Medicine in both the outpatient and inpatient setting (optional).2. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews.3. Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required.4. Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required.5. Administers and prescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses.6. Performs minor surgical procedures.7. Determines need for and assists in specialized medical care and treatment.8. May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency.9. Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee.10. Works on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other Family Medicine physicians and Department Chairperson.11. Will work closely with the Department Chairperson in supporting departmental goals.12. May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Department Chairperson.Requirements1. Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Family Medicine or Equivalent2. Doctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school of medicine3. Completion of residency training in Family Medicine (or Equivalent) at a hospital and program acceptable to the Department Chairperson and Chief Medical Officer4. Minimum 3-5 years experience post-residency in the clinical arena preferred5. Fluency in English Required6. Fluency in Mandarin a preferred7. Fluency in German and/or French a plus.8. Superior diagnostic skills
